It has been ages since I posted here. Tonight I have very little to say except that I can't sleep. I should have been sound asleep and dreaming an hour ago, but I'm online instead in the hopes of getting tired enough to sleep.
Sorry for wasting your time with such a pointless post.

"'tis a consummation devoutly to be wish'd. To die,to sleep; To sleep! perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub; For in that sleep of death what dreams may come, When we have shuffled off this mortal coil, must give us pause"
AKA, who needs sleep...
When death is the alternative...
Whoa, I been out-grimmed... ;-)
I was, actually, choosing to momentarily ignore that aspect in favor of time enough to sleep, but...
I am embarrassed to say that I am unfamiliar with "out-grimmed." And my research skills are failing me! I've found the word in context but can't locate an actual definition.
Ah, but you have not checked the Oxbridge Big Book of Fee-isms, 261st ed., have you? It's a multi-volume set...
I seem to have misplaced my copy. Bad librarian!
Check the 400s. Should be after Esperanto, but before Gaelic...
Some more cheeriness . . .
DIRGE
Thomas Lovell Beddoes
If thou wilt ease thine heart
Of love and all its smart,
Then sleep, dear, sleep;
And not a sorrow
Hang any tear on your eyelashes;
Lie still and deep,
Sad soul, until the sea-wave washes
The rim o’ the sun to-morrow,
In eastern sky.
But wilt thou cure thine heart
Of love and all its smart,
Then die, dear, die;
‘Tis deeper, sweeter,
Than on a rose bank to lie dreaming
With folded eye;
And then alone, amid the beaming
Of love’s stars, thou’lt meet her
In eastern sky.
